ACRO Radiant Floor Heating Systems Inc was established by Jim Reynolds, a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan. He has over 50 years experience in radiant floor heating. He has participated in the establishment of codes and guidelines for radiant systems in both Canada and the United States.
Jim has been involved in the installation and as a consulting engineer for many systems utilizing alternate energy such as geo-thermal, solar and wind turbine throughout the Pacific Northwest and as far east as South Dakota and as far south as Arizona and California.
In recent years, Jim has been joined by his son Stuart. Stuart has completed his training through the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton, Alberta and is a Certified Hydronic Designer by
The Canadian Hydronics Council.

Over the years, we have seen momentous changes in the materials that we use. From welded steel pipe; to copper; to EPDM rubber; to polybutylene; to crosslinked polyethylene with oxygen barrier; from manual mixing valves; and to sophisticated micro processor (computerized) control systems.
In addition to the changes in materials, we have seen a progression from the traditional energy sources of wood, coal, oil, liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas and electricity to geothermal heat pumps, air to water heat pumps and solar panels.
Today, we have available to us, all of the technology and equipment from anywhere in the world. It is up to us to apply this technology to design and install systems that will deliver the most healthy and comfortable indoor environment. With the lowest possible energy cost, while at the same time having the least possible effect on the global environment.
